Vadakara: K.K Rama, widow of slain RMP leader T.P Chandrasekharan, has said she will go on her fast until a CBI inquiry is announced.
“I expect Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan will come at the protest venue with the support for the indefinite fast to press for a CBI probe,” K.K Rama told reporters here on Sunday.
“There are no legal hurdles in ordering a CBI probe in the case. The government should reject the claims made by the CPI-M,” Rama said.
K.K. Rema will go on a fast unto death in front of the Secretariat from Monday to press for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the killing of her husband.
Director General of Prosecutions T Asaf Ali on Thursday had advised the government that there was no illegality for a CBI probe into the conspiracy charge relating to the murder of T P Chandrasekharan.
Leader of the Opposition V.S Achuthanandan had come out in support of K. K Rama’s demand for the CBI probe in the case.
