Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.S Achuthanandan has sent a letter to Chief Minister Ommen Chandy, seeking the government to consider the demand of K.K Rema for a CBI probe to unearth the conspiracy behind the T.P murder case.
Saying that Rema’s demand for a CBI probe in the case is genuine, Mr. Achuthanandan, in the letter, has slammed the government for not looking into her demands seriously.
The veteran CPI-M leader has also alleged that there is an international connection behind the T.P murder.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has confirmed that the government received a letter from V.S Achuthanandan in support of K.K Rama.
“Achuthanandan's letter is being viewed seriously. His demand will be considered as the demand of the Opposition,” the Home Minister said.
Responding to news reports on V.S Achuthanandan’s letter in support of K.K Rema, CPI-M State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said it should be probed
“The party had expelled some staff members of Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan earlier. It should be examined whether they have misused the letter pad of the leader,” Pinarayi told reporters.
