Malappuram: Activists of some parties on Tuesday took out protest march to the Congress office here in protest of the murder of a woman at the party office in Nilambur.
Workers of CPI-M, BJP, and SDPI staged rallies to the Malappuram Congress Office here to protest the murder of Radha, 50, a sweeper in the Congress Block Committee office in Nilambur.
P Sreeramakrishnan MLA inaugurated the CPI-M rally that was attended by P K Zainaba Teacher, and CPI-M district secretary Vasu Master.
Alleging involvement of some 'big names' in the murder, the protesters sought a thorough investigation to bring out the truth. They also demanded resignation of Transport Minister Aryadan Muhammed, who is a top Congress leader in the district.
Meanwhile, the CPI-M has called for a shut-down in Nilambur constituency on Wednesday seeking a proper probe into the murder to bring out the conspiracy in it.
