Vital evidence in Radha murder case overlooked

Malappuram: Amid there are allegations that more people were involved in Radha murder case, news reports say that the police team probing the murder of sweeper Radha at Nilambur Congress office have overlooked a vital evidence in the case.

According to Media One TV report, the police ignored the statement of a rubber tapping employee, who was residing a few km away from the spot of the murder.

Sukumaran, a rubber tapping employee, had said in his statement that a car had followed the vehicle in which the body of Radha was brought at the spot.

Two persons, K.M. Biju aka Biju Nair, secretary of the Nilambur Congress block office, and his accomplice, K. Shamsudheen aka Shamsu, were arrested in connection with the murder.

The murder of the 49-year-old spinster took place on February 5. The decomposed body was found in a sack in the grama panchayat pond at Unnikulam, near Pookkottupadam, on Sunday.
