Kozhikode: The motorbike of slain RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan, a key evidence in the murder case, was on Tuesday released to his widow K K Rema.
The Hero Honda Passion Plus bike with registration number KL 18 A 6395 was handed over to Rema after an order by the Special Additional District and Sessions Court (Marad cases) here.
It had been kept at the store-room in the court premises under the custody of the court since the murder.
Special Judge R Narayana Pisharadi’s directive follows a petition filed by Rema through her counsel Safal Kallaramkettu.
Rema said the bike was so dear to Chandrasekharan and she would keep it in TP Memorial near her home.
Chandrasekharan was knocked down by the seven-member gang, who came in an Innova car, while he was travelling in the bike on May 4, 2012. The bike was partially damaged and later it was taken into custody by the Special Investigation Team.
