Kozhikode: Malayalam film director K Haridas Monday said there is good response from the public to his new film 'Veendum Kannur'.
Speaking to mediapersons here, he said the film, released in about 38 theatres across Kerala on last friday, he said reports from various centres painted an encouraging picture of the public response.
The film would be releaesed in another 22 theatres next week, he said. Actor Anoop Menon and Sandhya play the central characters in the film.
Haridas said the message of the film was that success could be achieved only through forgiveness and truth.
He said the film would soon be shown to members of the legislative assembly. The film was shot in Kannur, Ernakulam and Ottappallam and completed in about 25 days, he said.
Besides Menon and Sandhya, the cast includes child actress Diya, an LKG student, who has till now acted in five films, he said.
The music was scored by Robin Thirumala, who has penned the screenplay for Veendum Kannur.
