New Delhi: CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday demanded that the notification issued by the central government on the Kasturirangan report on November 13 be repealed.
“The effort is to issue an office memorandum without cancelling the notification of November 13. If the union government is honest about the issue, it should first repeal the notification,” Vijayan said here on Friday.
“A new report capable of protecting the Western Ghats and the people residing there should be prepared. The CPI-M is with the people.
“This is not a matter of vote, but an issue of the existence of the people residing in those areas,” Vijayan added.
