Palakkad: Political climate in Kerala was in favour of Congress-led UDF and it would sweep the coming Lok Sabha polls, M P Veerendrakumar, leader of Socialist Janata Democratic (SJD) and party candidate from Palakkad, said here Thursday.
Addressing a "meet the candidate" programme orgaised by Press Club here' Veerendrakumar said UDF would win all the 20 seats in the state.
He criticised the state leadership of CPI-M and said there was lot of differences in the functioning of CPI-M leaders of the present time and past.
"Now decisions in the party are taken unilaterally without any discussions" he said. RSP left LDF due that attitude, he added.
Veerendrakumar, who was in the LDF for long, parted ways with the coalition on the eve of the 2009 Lok Sabha polls after CPI(M) rejected JD(S)'s demand for Kozhikode seat.
The JD(S) faction led by Veerendrakumar later formed SJD and became partner of UDF in 2011 assembly polls. The party has a minister in the Oommen Chandy Cabinet.
