Kochi: The High Court Monday directed the state Public Service Commission to frame clear guidelines providing possible measures to support pregnant women, who are now forced to undertake physical test as part of the selection process.
The direction in this regard was issued by a division bench headed by Justice Thothathil B Radhakrishnan on a batch of petitions challenging physical test prescribed by the PSC during the term of applicants' pregnancy which causes serious difficulties.
Earlier, the petitioners had approached Kerala Administrative Tribunal which directed to defer the physical test during pregnancy.
