Ma’dani shifted to hospital

Bengaluru: Complying with the Supreme Court directive, Karnataka government Saturday shifted jailed PDP leader Abdul Nasser Ma’dani, a key accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts case, to Manipal Hospital here for treatment.

Responding to the Karnataka government’s affidavit in the apex court, Ma’dani told reporters that the government had submitted wrong information on his health condition in the court.

The apex court, denying bail to him in the case, Friday had directed the Karnataka government to shift Ma’dani to the hospital and to submit his medical report on Monday.

The Karnataka government, in an affidavit filed on Thursday, had informed the Supreme Court that the health condition of PDP leader Abdul Nasar Ma’dani was satisfactory.
