Kochi: Terming the High Court remarks on the Chief Minister’s office as unfortunate, Minister for Rural Development and Planning K.C Joseph on Monday has said the court doesn’t need to intervene all the issues that happens all over the world.
“The remarks, which gave political weapon to the opposition parties, were unfortunate,” K.C Joseph told reporters here.
KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran had supported the stand taken by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on the adverse references made against him by the Kerala High Court recently in the land-grab cases involving his former gunman Salim Raj.
Mr. Sudheeran had said the stand taken by the Chief Minister was the same as that of the ruling United Democratic Front. “The adverse court references will not affect the prospects of the UDF in the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
The High Court Friday pulled up the Chief Minister’s office in connection with the case, triggering instant outcry from the LDF leaders for Chandy’s resignation.
