Kochi: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Sunday said the Congress had not made any serious lapses in poll campaigning in Pathanamthitta and Idukki.

"The UDF leaders and workers had worked in unison during election campaign in both the constituencies,” Mr. Chennithala told reporters while responding to Chief Whip P.C George’s remarks.

“If anyone has the complaints, the matter should be raised in the party platforms,” he said.

“The remarks that may loss the spirits of the party workers should be avoided,” he added.

While speaking to a television channel, P.C George Friday had said that the UDF had made serious lapses in poll campaigning in Pathanamthitta.

Mr. George had also made serious allegations against Anto Antony, the UDF candidate in the Pathanamthitta Parliament constituency. “Anto was sidelined in the campaigning, which may reflect in the poll outcome,” he said.
