Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader K. Muraleedharan on Thursday accused the LDF and the BJP of trading votes in the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency.
“The LDF and the BJP had traded votes in the constituency and the LDF had gained the benefits of it in Kollam,” Mr. Muraleedharan told reporters here.
“LDF candidate M.A Baby’s statement is in order to cover up the vote trade,” he alleged.
“Whatever they did to win in the election, the UDF candidate’s vote share will obviously be gone up,” he added.
Meanwhile, CPI State secretary Pannyan Raveendran rejected K. Muraleedharan’s remarks, saying that no one would believe in the allegations.
“Anyone can raise allegation without having any basis,” he said.
