Thiruvananthapuram: The Excise Department has filed a case against actor Prithviraj Sukumaran over an alcohol scene in the movie ‘7th Day’.

The case is that the statutory warning against alcohol usage was not shown in the particular scene.

A case has also been registered against the movie’s director Shyam Dhar and producer Shibu Susheelan.

Earlier, the officials of the Health department had filed similar cases against actress Mythili and actor Mohanlal as the posters of their films ‘Matinee’ and ‘Karmayodha’, respectively, showed them smoking a cigarette.
