Bajaj launches two new bikes in Kerala

Kochi: Bajaj Auto today launched two new bikes - Pulsar 200 NS and Discover 125 ST - in Kerala ahead of the 'Onam' festival season next month.

Already a dominant player in both the sports and commuter sports segment, these new launches are being introduced to further widen the gap between Bajaj and its competitors, R Chandrashekhar, General Manager (Sales and Services), Bajaj Auto, told reporters here.

Both the next generation bikes are loaded with many firsts in terms of features and technology, he said. While the Pulsar 200 NS is priced at Rs 86,315, the Discover 125 ST will cost Rs 55,344.

Bajaj expects to further strengthen its position in the 125 CC plus segment, where the growth last year was very encouraging 19% and the company holds hearly half, or 43%, of the market share with all other brands sharing the rest.

Future lies in the sporty evolution of commuter category and in the sports biking segment, he said.
