London: India's Vikas Gowda has qualified for the men's discus throw final at the London Olympics here Monday.
The US based Indian threw 65.20 metres in his second attempt to make the cut. Iran's Ehsan Hedai was the other athlete to qualify for the medal round, with a throw of 65.19m.
The qualification round is under way and top 12 athletes advance to the next round.
The final will be played Tuesday.
