Papilio Budha to release in February

Thiruvananthapuram: "Papilio Buddha", which was denied certification by the regional office of the Central Board of Film Certification, will be released in February across Kerala.

Directed by Jayan Cherian's film became controversial as it depicts the story of Scheduled Caste people in Wayanad.

However, producers Thampi Antony and Prakash Barae found a way to screen their film in theatres. Apparently, the censor board may certify the film with minor censoring, including some mutes and blurs.

Environmentalist Kallen Pokkudan is the protagonist of the movie and the cast also has names like Praksh Barae, Padmapriya, Thampi Antony, Sree Kumar, and Saritha Sunil.
