Idukki: Senior CPM leader M.M Mani, arrested in connection with a three decade old political murder case, Friday walked out of the jail, a day after the Kerala High Court granted him bail.
Granting the bail on stringent conditions, the court ordered that he be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.25, 000 with two solvent sureties for the like sum.
The court has imposed the condition that Mani shall “not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or police officer; or tamper with the evidence; or influence or try to influence the witnesses.”
He should not enter the limits of Idukki district, except for reporting before the investigating officer in the case between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. every Friday.
