Kochi: The Kochi-Muziris Biennale proposes to host Childrens biennale for school students from the State which will see their works displayed at the ongoing cultural festival if they top an upcoming art competition.
The first phase of the endeavour, which is for students of class I to VII, will be held at 11 am on January 19 at Aspinwall House, the heritage building in Fort Kochi that will eventually show the works of all the winners.
World-renowned painters will judge the paintings of the children who would be given two hours to complete the same, according to Kochi Biennale Foundation.
The fee for enrolling will be Rs 150. There is no specification about the theme or the medium of painting. The subject can be anything; one can use water-colour or oil or whatever, said a spokesperson. "We will provide the participants with paper and clipboard."
The participating student, along with the guardian, will be entitled to a free visit of the biennale.
