Thiruvananthapuram: The police on Tuesday identified the main robber allegedly involved in a major heist that took place at a house in the capital city in the wee hours of Monday.
The suspect has been identified as Devendra Singh, hailing from Delhi. He was identified from the CCTV footage.
The incident took place in the house of one Venugopalan Nair on the T.K Divakaran Road. The thieves managed to enter the house, even if it has all modern security systems in-built, including cameras around and a remote-controlled gate.
The thieves entered the house after removing the glass pane of a window. The burglars looted about Rs.30 lakh and made away with valuables from a house.
The culprits took away a luxury car, Mitsubishi Outlander, with general packet radio service (GPRS); a laptop worth Rs One lakh; gold worth Rs 10,000; and two mobile phones, one worth Rs 40,000 and the other costing Rs 15,000.
