Kozhikode: Controversial businessman K A Rauf, estranged relative of Industries Minister, P K Kunhalikutty, Friday met Kerala Congress (B) leader, R Balakrishna Pillai, whose party is a constituent in the Congress-led UDF, at the guest house here.
Speaking to reporters, Rauf said the main purpose of meeting Pillai was to inform him that fake cases are being framed against him by Kunhalikutty.
'Pillai is a senior leader in UDF and listened to whatever I had told him.I will meet all other UDF leaders also in due course',Rauf said.
Pillai, here in connection with his party's meeting, said Rauf wanted to meet him.'If veteran CPM leader V S Achuthanandan wants to meet me, I will meet him', he said.
To a query on the ice cream parlour sex case, Pillai said 'those things are academic matters. I am not going to express my opinion on it'.
Pillai had been unhappy with UDF for sometime now, since it had not considered the party's demand for the removal of his son and Kerala Sports and Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar from the ministry, with whom Pillai has differences of opinion.
