New Delhi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Friday ruled out a re-investigation against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien, who has been linked to the Suryanelli sex scandal case.
Speaking to reporters here, Chandy said there was no possibility of re-investigation in the rape case.
Kurien's name resurfaced in the case after the victim Feb 1 indicated that she was considering legal options for re-opening the case against him.
The sex scandal took place at Suryanelli in Kerala's Idukki district January 1996, when the then 16-year-old was threatened, abducted and abused by a bus conductor and was later confined and sexually assaulted for 45 days by 42 men.
