New Delhi: London Olympics quarterfinalist Parupalli Kashyap dropped out of the top 10 of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) men's singles rankings released Thursday to be placed at No.11.

He had in January achieved a career-best ranking of No.9.

Meanwhile, Indian badminton queen Saina Nehwal retained her World No.2 ranking in the women's singles. Saina's Hyderabad city-mate P.V. Sindhu also kept her No.16 position.

Mumbai shuttler Ajay Jayaram dropped a place to be ranked No.32 while R.M.V. Gurusaidutt gained a place to be at 37 in the men's singles.

The next major upcoming tournament will be the German Open Grand Prix Gold starting Feb 26 after a lay-off period since the Malaysia Open Super Series in mid-January.

The next tier-two tournament will be the All England Premier Super Series in the first week of March.
