Three Keralites killed as car rams into lorry in Salem

Salem: Three persons based in Kerala were killed and another person was injured Friday when their car collided with a lorry near Omalur on the Dharmapuri-Salem National Highway.

The victims were returning to Kottayam from Bangalore when their car rammed into the lorry.

Police identified the deceased as Joseph Cherin (56),his son Abin Cherin Joseph (27) and car driver Arul Thomas (40).

Joseph Cherin's another son Pravin George, who was seriously injured, has been admitted to the Salem Mohan Kumaramangalam Government hospital.

The victims were engaged in the granite business.

The lorry driver sped away from the scene.
