Mumbai: Popular Pakistani actor Fawad Khan feels that Bollywood for the most part is unchartered territory for him, and is nervous about the release of his first film 'Khoobsurat'.

As for Bollywood, Fawad's reputation precedes him. His work in Pakistani television and cinema has made him quiet well known. In 'Khoobsurat Khan has Ratna Patak Shah playing his mother, as they belong to a Royal family with Khan playing the Prince. He is cast opposite Sonam Kapoor in this woman -centric comic drama.

He says Bollywood just happened to him and had never actually been part of his career plan. He is nervous because it is an avenue of entertainment that he hasn't worked in yet. He believes that artistes should go where their work takes them and that was the main reason for his agreement to work in this film.

He opined that working in a woman centric film was not a risk according to him and instead it was safe move considering it is his first film in India. He is grateful for all the love and support he has received and that Khoobsurat was a good excuse for him to test and expand his boundaries.

Born in Lahore, the 32-year old actor, started his acting career fourteen years ago with the movie Dastaan, in Pakistan. He became a household name with daily soaps such as Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar hai. 'Khoobsurat which is a remake of the 80s comedy of the same name is his first movie in Bollywood.

Khan, as a part of the rock band 'Entity Paradigm', has sung songs such as 'Shor Macha' and 'Rahguzar' which topped charts.
