Swachh Bharat: Mammootty pledges support to PM Modi's cleanliness drive

Thiruvananthapuram: Joining the bandwagon of celebrities endorsing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious "Swachh Bharat" campaign, Malayalam superstar Mammootty Friday pledged his support to the programme.
The three-time national award winning actor posted on his facebook page that he was "happy and proud" to see the PM initiating such a campaign.
"Happy and proud to see our PM initiating the Clean India Challenge, I too support this good cause initiative," he said.
He also urged his fans to support the drive and take part in it.
"I will do my part and will request all my fans and well-wishers to do the same. Don't wait, Act wisely... WE ARE THE CHANGE !!!," he said.
The actor, who has essayed some memorable roles including that of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, said society needed more "good cause campaigns" such as "Addicted to Life" and "My Tree Challenge," to bring positive results.
Modi Thursday dared a number of celebrities including actors Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Kamal Haasan to help clean public places.
