AAP leader Kumar Vishwas demands 21 crore for ‘Bigg Boss 8’

Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas demanded a whopping 21 crore to take part in the popular reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 8’.

He was reportedly approached by Colors and offered to pay Rs 5 crore for his participation but he quoted Rs 21 crore to take part on the show. In the meantime, Vishwas shared a link of the letter on his Facebook page and said, " I had my reservations about Big Boss. Attached is the letter that I wrote to the producers of the show. I was not made for Big Boss. The biggest Boss is Almighty. If there is any other 'boss' for me, it is India. I chose to serve Big Boss' home in order to serve those who are serving the motherland. Anyways, No worries and no hurries. I will keep serving the nation in my way. Jai Hind!"

He also said that he will utilize the money for social purpose. He would donate the money to War Widows Fund. However, the PR for Colors TV refused to clear the fact, he said, "we cannot confirm or decline news about whether he will be a part of the show or not."

The probable contestants of the eighth season of the reality show include Aryan Babbar, Salman Khan's rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur, the bapuji of Bollywood, Alok Nath, Comedian Sunil Grover, TV actor Gaurav Chopra, Mona Singh of Jassi Jaise Koi Nahi fame, TV actor Tina Dutta, TV actor Drashti Dhami, TV actor Rashmi Desai, TV actor Karan Kundra and Salman's ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani.

In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Kumar contested from Amethi against BJP candidate Smriti Irani and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He was badly defeated bagging only 25,527 votes while Rahul got the majority share of 408,651 votes and BJP's Smriti Irani gave a tough fight to Rahul by winning with 300,748 votes.

Vishwas has attributed his new-found popularity to his confrontation with Rahul Gandhi. "It is a fact that certain sections which did not take me seriously were forced to sit up and notice when I decided to contest against Rahul Gandhi. My campaign in Amethi was covered by international media and voters had started asking Rahul some uncomfortable questions," the daily has quoted his as saying.
