Chennai: Tamil star Dhanush is all set to star in his first international project with none other than Kill Bill star Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario (recently seen in San Andreas), says media reports.

The movie titled The ExtraThe Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard, , to be directed by Iranian-French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi, will have Dhanush playing the role of a conjurer from a forgotten Indian colony of artists.

The story revolves around the conjurer, Aja, who is sent to Paris on a secret mission by his mother.

"As I was watching various Indian movies, Dhanush became the most obvious choice - his intelligence, his killer smile, his ability to enter fully into the skin of any character he played (and I can go on and on forever) made me confident that he was the one," said Marjane Satrapi on casting Dhanush.

Dhanush, who co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in last year's Shamitabh, won his first National Award in 2010 for his role in the filmAadukalam. His second National Award was as producer for Kaaka Muttai in 2014

The actor is currently in Pollachi, shooting with director Durai Senthil Kumar on Kodi.
