After years of acting, Mohanlal to wear director’s hat

Malayalam superstar Mohalal has announced on social media his plans to go behind the camera.
Having spent decades in the field acting in more than 300 films, Mohan Lal’s new venture has left Mollywood in dismay.
It is a new thing, perhaps, even to his close friends that Lal’s has been harbouring a desire to become director.
The film titled ‘Barroz’ will be a 3D with Lal himself in the lead, a double treat for his fans.
To be set in a Portuguese backdrop, Mohanlal will be Barroz, the man who has been guarding Vasco D'Gama's treasure for over 400 years.
Mohanlal in his blog reportedly said, "I will now work from behind the camera. The name of the movie I am making is Barroz. It's a 3D movie that adults and children can enjoy. It is a story based in Portugal."
