Actor Revathy back to director's chair with 'Salaam Venky'

Chennai: Popular actress Revathy is returning to direction with a project 'Salaam Venky', IANS reported.

Suuraj Singh's BLive productions will produce the film, which has entered into a three-film creative collaboration with Revathy.

Salaam Venky's story is inspired by a true story of a mother's strength when faced with life's challenges, and the film will feature renowned actress Kajol in the central role. The film, which will be made in Hindi, will reach theatres this year.

Revathy said, "When Suuraj Singh came to me with a story, I immediately wanted to step into the shoes of a director. The result is 'Salaam Venky'. Working with Suuraj has been comfortable, professionally and felt like family. I trust in him and BLive production's vision completely.
