#BoycottKareenaKhan trends in Twitter after rumours of actor playing 'Sita' on screen

Mumbai: Netizens took to Twitter demanding to Boycott actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on Saturday over reports of her allegedly being considered for the role of Sita from Ramayana for a film on the epic surfaced in social media. Under #BoycottKareenaKhan, users are criticising the actress for playing the role of 'Sita' onscreen despite being married to a Muslim (Saif Ali Khan).
Earlier this week, the 'Jab We Met' actress faced severe backlash for allegedly charging a whopping amount of Rs 12 crore to play Sita in the film directed by Alaukik Desai. However, that there has been no official confirmation about Kareena's fee.
Meanwhile, Kareena will next be seen in 'Laal Singh Chadha', co-starring opposite Aamir Khan. The film is an adaptation of Hollywood classic Forrest Gump and is directed by Advait Chandan from a screenplay written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni.
