Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is basking in the success of her Amazon Prime show 'Dahaad'. The show has been getting good reviews on social media and the actress said she feels like she has made her debut in the show business all over again.

"I do feel like I have made my debut all over again. The last time I was appreciated like this, it was very long back, for Lootera in 2013, and then Akira. Even Kalank, but not on this level," she added.

Director of the show, Reema Kagti, in a recent interview, said that she always felt that Sonakshi was "underutilised". Sonakshi said that she sometimes feels that she is underutilised but not all the time. "I always try and give my 100 percent and do the best that I can whatever role you put me in, good or bad. I am glad people like Reema and Zoya Akhtar have taken note of that and actually given me a character to justify my ability, so to speak. I hope more people do that with me."

Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said the response to the mystery thriller show has made her feel "overwhelmed" and "incredible". The 36-year-old made her debut with Salman Khan starrer Dabangg in 2010 and did several hit and average movies in the following years. She was last seen in Double XL (2022) with Huma Qureshi.

In Dahaad, she plays a no-nonsense cop and delivers a power-packed performance. When asked about the show's success, she said: "People who have not spoken to me in years are messaging me, those I don’t know from the industry have reached out. I was in a restaurant, random people walked up to me- not even for a photograph, but just to say they loved me in Dahaad. I don’t know how to deal with this right now."

Sonakshi will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heera Mandi which is one of the most-anticipated projects in Bollywood. She will be working with Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
