Los Angeles: American singer Joe Jonas said that he has been using injectables in his face to smooth out fine lines. "We are all getting older and part of that is being comfortable in our skin."

The musician celebrated his 33rd birthday on August 15. Talking about tools to make skin look smooth, he said he doesn't think it is not necessarily something we have to shy away from. "We can be open and honest about it. Be confident and not shy away from speaking the truth."

He is the new celebrity brand partner for an anti-wrinkle injectable that temporarily improves the look of frown lines. The singer said he uses the formula to smooth out a scar between his eyebrows. He added that the technology is not over the top but very light.

The Jonas brother is hoping to make other men feel comfortable by talking about his cosmetic treatments. Speaking about the changes in society, he said guys are more openly wearing makeup and the stigma is fading. "It is a beautiful generation that we are living in."

He added that men have generally become more open-minded about fashion and style in recent years. About his approach to fashion, he said: "I feel like at some point you make that decision for yourself. The things that you want to do, the things that you want to wear, even the hair products you put in your hair."

"You get to an age where you just go - okay, I don't feel those pressures anymore. I think if you had asked me ten years ago, I would have definitely felt that pressure more," he added.

The singer said he has been more health conscious in recent years and has realised that he cannot sing as many songs back to back or do as many shows back to back. "When I was younger, I had no problem with sleepless nights travelling to another city or celebrating after a concert. Now you hit a wall of exhaustion."

Joe Jonas has joined the list of celebrities who are openly talking about breaking stereotypes in the favour of comfort and choosing health over work.
