Kangana Ranaut claims superiority over Tom Cruise in stunt performances

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut stirred up controversy on Tuesday comparing her performance to Meryl Streep and then again by alleging that her stunt performance is better than Hollywood star Tom Cruise's.

Her statements were based on an interview she shared of the Hollywood stunt director Nick Powell, who praised the actress' dedication and ability to pull off scenes of sword fighting in the movie 'Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi'.

"Kangana insisted on doing all the action herself...I have worked with the likes of Russell Crowe, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, but she gave me the unique experience in which an actress was leading the pack. There were times when she pulled off smoother stunts than Tom Cruise," Powell was reported saying by 'Midday'.

However social media users wonder whether Kangana is entirely serious about her claims as her earlier statements of having outdone Meryl Streep were also making the rounds.

"Massive transformation alert, The kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now, I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions, but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot #Thalaivi #Dhaakad," the actress had tweeted.
