Laal Singh Chaddha poster introduces Naga Chaitanya as 'the best friend'

The latest poster of Laal Singh Chaddha was released on Instagram and it presented Naga Chaitanya as Balaraju from Bodipalem. He appears to play Aamir Khan's best friend during the army years.
In the original Hollywood film Forrest Gump, the main character meets Bubba during his army years. The duo becomes best friends and makes plans for founding a shrimp business after leaving the army. However, he died during the war in Vietnam.
Reprising Bubba's innocence, Naga Chaitanya's Balaraju was seen wearing an army uniform and smiling and looking away from the camera. Laal Singh Chaddha marks the Telugu star's Bollywood debut.
The film is set to release on August 11. A special screening was earlier held in Hyderabad from which Chiranjeevi shared a clipping. Telugu film industry veterans like Nagarjuna, SS Rajamouli, and Sukumar were in attendance.
Forrest Gump told the story of a slow-witted, heart of gold, extraordinarily talented man's life. The story begins with his childhood and his mother's efforts to give the best possible life to a handicapped Forrest. He goes on to join the army and become a tennis star. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Laal Singh Chaddha's childhood friend turned love interest.
The film will be clashing with Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan at the box office.
