Madhavan and Mohanlal extend birthday wishes to Amitabh Bachchan

Chennai: Actor R Madhavan took to Instagram to wish Big B Amitabh Bachchan on his 80th birthday. His greetings come the day after the special day.
He wrote: "When your reaction is still the same after 20 years when you see the God of cinema in person even now. Amitabh Bachchan sir. It's been a privilege and blessing to be part of the industry in the same era as you. Praying for a long healthy life for you, more for our sake than yours. Happy 80th Sir."
The legendary actor has been receiving birthday wishes from people in and outside of the industry. Actor Mohanlal shared a video message in which he said: "The name that evokes a gamut of emotions within our whole country. The greatest actor of our time, he has enriched Indian cinema and his presence continues to do so. He is an endearing personality settled with companionate behaviour, charitable actions and humble disposition are admirable qualities that stand out. His dedication to work is an inspiration for all generations. His baritone voice and his varied characters have won him the admiration and love of the whole nation."
He added that he has been fortunate to work with Bachchan in two films and the honour of sharing screen space with him is one of the highlights of his career. "He is a wonderful human being. He is encouraging and patient with his co-stars."
He further said: "As Amitabh sir celebrates his 80th birthday, I wish him good health, happiness, and many more years of continued service to Indian cinema. May the all-mighty bless him and keep him safe. With lots of love and prayers. Bachchan Sir, happy birthday to you."
