Mohanlal, in collaboration with director Lijo Jose Pellissery, is set to grace the big screen with "Malaikottai Vaaliban" on January 25, 2024, portraying the role of an undefeated wrestler.

Recent speculations suggest that the film might be presented in two parts, with the initial release scheduled for this month and the sequel potentially arriving in 2025 or 2026, following Mohanlal's completion of the film "Rambaan."

While the details regarding the second part are yet to be officially confirmed, rumours indicate that the narrative of "Malaikottai Vaaliban" revolves around an undefeated wrestler traversing different locations, defeating challengers along the way. The storyline takes an intriguing turn when he encounters a princess, and the plot thickens with the emergence of villainous forces in the shadows.

The teaser for the film, released a month ago, showcased Mohanlal in a distinctive appearance, characterised by long hair and a robust physique. Additionally, two singles from the film have been unveiled.

"Malaikottai Vaaliban," co-written by Lijo Jose Pellissery and PS Rafeeque, features an ensemble cast, including Sonalee Kulkarni in her Malayalam debut, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Manikandan R Achari, and more.

Prashant Pillai is the composer for the film's music, while Madhu Neelakandan and Deepu S Joseph handle cinematography and editing, respectively.

Mohanlal's recent work includes the film "Neru," a courtroom drama directed and co-written by Jeethu Joseph alongside Santhi Mayadevi of "Drishyam 2" fame. The actor's upcoming projects include "Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure," directed by Mohanlal himself, along with films like "Ram: Part 1," "Vrushubha," and "Kannappa," scheduled for release next year.

Furthermore, he is slated to star in films such as "L2: Empuraan," "Ram: Part 2," and "Rambaan" in 2025.
