Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan to reunite after 32 years for Thalaivar170

Chennai: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, two iconic actors in Indian cinema, are set to create magic on the silver screen once again. The duo will be reuniting after a gap of 32 years.

Rumours suggest that these legendary actors will be starring in director TJ Gnanavel's highly anticipated film tentatively titled, Thalaivar170. Sources indicate that Amitabh Bachchan is being considered for a significant role in this Rajinikanth starrer.

While the production is yet to kick off, speculations about the casting choices are already making rounds on the internet. An official confirmation regarding his involvement is still awaited. If these reports hold true, fans of the old cinema will be happy to see Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth together after three decades. The dynamic duo has previously collaborated on successful films such as Hum, Andha Kaanoon, Geraftaar, and Kochadaiyaan. They were all blockbusters.

Thalaivar170 is said to be based on a true incident, with Rajinikanth portraying the role of a police officer. The movie is being produced by Lyca Productions. The shooting is expected to start soon and the film is slated for release in late 2024.

Other reports indicated that Chiyaan Vikram was approached for the role of the antagonist in Thalaivar170. According to sources, director TJ Gnanavel sought Vikram out to play the villain. While initial discussions did not yield a positive outcome, the director remains persistent in convincing Vikram, as he believes that no one else can embody the character as perfectly as the acclaimed actor.

TJ Gnanavel is a prominent Indian film director known for his contributions to the Tamil cinema industry. He has gained acclaim for his directorial ventures, which include notable films like Kootathil Oruthan and Jai Bhim.
