Thane: A right-wing mob vandalised a movie theatre that screened "Pathaan", the Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer, PTI reported.

The incident, in which the mob destroyed display boards mounted on the theatre, happened in Bhayander on Sunday evening, police said.

A video of is out which features the mob shouting slogans against khan as well as the movie, and it is viral on social media, a police officer said.

He added that nine people were detained during the incident, and the process of registering a case is going on.

Meanwhile, 'Pathaan' grossed 400 crores after four days of release. The production company Yash Raj Films (YRF) reported on Sunday that superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" continued its record-breaking streak at the box office by earning Rs 429 crore total globally in four days.

The action-packed spy thriller earned Rs 53.25 crore nett in India (Hindi, all dubbed versions), bringing the domestic box office total to Rs 64 crore, according to YRF. On Wednesday, "Pathaan" was also made available in Tamil and Telugu.

"'Pathaan hit another 100 crore+ days on its 4th day, as it registered Rs 53.25 crore nett in India (Hindi, all dubbed versions), taking the India gross to Rs 64 crore. "The overseas gross on day 4 is at Rs 52 crore, taking the total collection on its fourth day of release to Rs 116 crore gross," the studio said in a press note.

"Pathaan", which is Shah Rukh's first big screen release as a lead in over four years, had raised Rs 106 crore globally on its opening day, followed by Rs 113.6 crore on day two and Rs 90 crore on day three.
