Mumbai: Ritesh Agarwal, the founder of Oyo Rooms, has been announced as the latest addition to the panel of sharks on Season 3 of 'Shark Tank India.'

The news was confirmed via Shark Tank India's official Instagram page, and Ritesh Agarwal himself took to Twitter to make the announcement.

In his tweet, Agarwal reflected on his entrepreneurial journey and the challenges he faced in the early days due to limited resources.

He expressed gratitude for the support and kindness he received from mentors, venture capitalists, and fellow founders during his journey. Agarwal mentioned that one of his long-standing goals has been to support and mentor entrepreneurs and startups, and he has already been actively involved in extending support to startups, guiding entrepreneurs within the Naropa Fellowship cohort, and assisting small businesses across India.

He expressed his excitement about joining 'Shark Tank India' Season 3, stating that the show has made entrepreneurship a household conversation. He looks forward to being part of the upcoming season and supporting emerging entrepreneurs from various corners of India.

With this announcement, Ritesh Agarwal becomes the youngest shark on the panel.

The show already includes CEO and co-founder of boAt Aman Gupta, CEO and co-founder of CarDekho Amit Jain, founder and CEO of Shaadi.com Anupam Mittal, CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Namita Thapar, CEO and co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics Vineeta Singh, and CEO and co-founder of Lenskart Peyush Bansal.

The shooting for the third season of 'Shark Tank India' has commenced, and the official streaming date for Season 3 on the OTT platform Sony Liv is yet to be announced.

'Shark Tank India' Season 2 made significant investments totaling 80 crores across 103 businesses, fueling entrepreneurial growth and innovation in India. The show is based on the popular concept of the American show 'Shark Tank' and has been instrumental in providing a platform for budding entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to potential investors.
