Singer Elvis Presley’s daughter Liza Marie Presley dies at 54
text_fieldsLos Angeles: Singer Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley, died on Thursday. She was 54 years old.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, announced the singer’s death saying “my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us”.
Priscilla Presley remembered her daughter as the most passionate, strong and loving woman she has ever known, while asking for privacy in her statement.
Liza Marie was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital after she suffered cardiac arrest in her home in Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas.
Born in 1968 Liza Marie came out with her debut album "To Whom It May Concern." in 2003 followed by 2005 “Now What’.
Both albums hit the top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart, announcing the emergence of a talent from Presley family.
Her third album, "Storm and Grace," was released in 2012.
Liza Marie was nine years old when Elvis died at Graceland in 1977 at the age of 42.
She was the owner of her father's Graceland mansion in Memphis, a popular tourist attraction.
Liza Marie who married four times wed pop star Michael Jackson in 1994 after divorcing her first husband, musician Danny Keough.
Jackson and Liza parted ways in 1996 when the king of the pop faced child molestation allegations.
Liza then married actor Nicholas Cage, who was a fan of her father’s but the marriage lasted only four months.
Finally her divorce from fourth husband Michael Lockwood, her guitarist and music producer, was finalized in 2021.
She has four children including daughter Riley Keough, 33, who is an actress.
