The politician Fahad Ahmad and actress Swara Bhasker were married on January 6, and Swara Bhasker recently posted a picture of her walima wedding on Twitter. The actor dazzled in a heavy lehenga set by Pakistani designer Ali Xeeshan for the party hosted by the groom's family in Bareilly; she revealed that it travelled all the way from Lahore.

“My walima outfit came all the way from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marvelled at the talent of #AliXeeshan #AliXeeshanTheatreStudio. When I called him with the idea of wearing his work @walima, his warmth and generosity made me admire the person,” she tweed, further adding that the designer not only sent “jodi outfits” for the duo “but customised them painstakingly with personalised details and messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My sarhad-paar ki bestie @Natrani came to our rescue & enabled the outfits to reach Dubai. ♥️.”

Her heavily embroidered green, pink, and blue lehenga ensemble was gold-beige with gold embroidery. In addition to the voluminous lehenga skirt, she also donned an ivory dupatta with paisley patterns and a blouse that matched. She chose a sheesh patti, a nath, jhumkis, kadas, and an elegant choker as her accessories. Fahad, on the other hand, donned a white jacket that she accessorized with a golden shawl and a matching ochre kurta and pyjama set, Indian Express reported.

The pair had previously given a sneak peek of their haldi ceremony, which was followed by their mehendi, sangeet, Carnatic vocal recital, Qawwali night, and reception.

The Veere Di Wedding actress donned a stunning pink and red lehenga with gold embroidery for the reception, created by the design team of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. She accessorized the ensemble with a jhumka, rings, bangles, a heavy necklace, and a maang tikka. In a white and gold sherwani and brown-toned juttis, Fahad complemented his bride's appearance.

Swara dressed in a lime green kurta set with a light yellow dupatta for their haldi. She chose a colourful pair of hanging earrings and a silver oxidized maang tikka as her accessories. For the event, she wore minimal makeup. The Samajwadi Party chief donned a simple white kurta set in contrast.

A similar vibrant orange kurta set with a brocade border and elaborate embroidery was worn for their mehendi ceremony. Heavy jewellery was worn with the outfit, including earrings, a statement band, and a golden maang tikka. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and added a beautiful gajra to it. She went for a bright crimson and orange makeup look. Fahad entered the party In a white Nehru jacket and a blue shirt.

The actor donned a red sari by Raw Mango with a golden border and a striped blouse for the Carnatic music recital. She chose a matha patti, embellished hair accessories, dangling earrings, and a nose ring to finish the ensemble. Fahad, on the other hand, kept things straightforward in a Nehru jacket, a pastel blue shirt, and trousers.

Last but not least, the pair complimented one another on their appearances for the Qawwali night. Fahad wore a black kurta with floral embroidery, while Swara donned a similar outfit with a matching dupatta and juttis in black with embellishments. The actor completed the ensemble with a passa, huge earrings, and a nathani.
