Vicky Kaushal was just a name I heard, says Katrina Kaif

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif said that her husband Vicky Kaushal was never on her radar. "He was just a name I heard."

She was speaking to Karan Johar on the talk show Koffee With Karan 7. Marking the appearance of the first trio of this season, she was with her Phone Bhoot co-stars Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal got married in December 2021. The duo kept their relationship secret until the wedding announcement. They never spoke about their relationship publicly.

Speaking to KJo, she said she didn't know much about Kaushal. "He was just a name I had heard but had never associated with. But then, when I met him, I was won over!" She added that the first person she told about the relationship was Zoya Akhtar. The duo met for the first time at a party hosted by the filmmaker.

She described her relationship to be "unexpected and out of the blue." The Sooryavanshi actress said she thinks her marriage to Vicky Kaushal was destiny. "It was really meant to be. There were so many coincidences that at one point all of it just felt so unreal."

Vicky Kaushal appeared on Koffee with Karan this season and spoke about his wife. He said their love story actually started on Koffee With Karan 6 because Katrina said she will look good with Vicky. When Karan Johar mentioned this to Vicky, he did a gesture imitating fainting.
