Warner Bros. gives green light to Green Lantern series
cancel

The Green Lantern series is still on, according to reports, despite a wave of project cancellations at Warner Bros. This live-action television series is being created for HBO Max.

The Green Lantern television series' creator and showrunner was announced to be Greg Berlanti. The CW series Flash, Supergirl, and Green Arrow, which is based on DC characters, are among those for which he is best known as the showrunner.

Following the appointment of David Zaslav as CEO of Warner Bros., the studio made several modifications to its ongoing DC-related franchises, according to NIE.

Leslie Grace's Batgirl, which was about to hit theatres, was allegedly cancelled. Another DC project, Strange Adventures, created by Kevin Smith of Clerks fame, was also shelved.

James Gunn, famed for overseeing both Marvel and DC projects, recently used Twitter to refute rumours that his Peacemaker series was being cancelled. He revealed that the show's second season is actively being developed in the same sentence.
