One of the best actors in Bollywood, Pankaj Tripathi, said that today's audience has microscopic lenses. "People notice the smallest of gestures. We didn't have to use these small nuances in the past."

He was speaking to Pinkvilla about what went into creating his latest work, Criminal Justice which is a courtroom drama. He added that the show is dramatic as well as real which sets it apart from most courtroom dramas in Indian cinema.

Pankaj Tripathi's acting is being praised by audiences and critics. And his versatility has always been one of the most appreciated things about the actor.

About the legal drama, director Rohan Sippy said the humour element was the result of writers, directors, producers, and actors being on the same page. He added that the unique humour of the show was discussed a lot with Pankaj Tripathi.

"When we feel that a scene can be improvised by adding a line here and there, it makes work a lot more exciting. Having that confidence that the show's character is not changing but is only being enhanced, makes it all the more appealing and accessible," he added.

The director further said that finding the right balance is an enjoyable process. "You can't manage that if you don't have wonderful actors who can understand that."

In the Disney+ Hotstar thriller, Pankaj Tripathi plays a streetsmart lawyer who takes up a murder case after mistaking it for a drunk and driving case. Vikrant Massey plays Aditya Sharma, a cab driver who is falsely accused of murdering a passenger.
