Mumbai: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma said she will not do movies just to stay in the game. She has been taking things slow since the birth of her daughter Vamika.

Speaking to Grazia India, she said she is okay to do more movies but only if it is worth taking her time out and if it makes sense. "I don’t want to do movies just to stay in the game – I’m very clear about that." She was talking about her film Chakda Xpress which she shot in 2022.

When asked about returning to work, she said after the busy shoot schedule, she would spend time with Vamika. The actress said she did not have time for anything else but to feed the baby dinner, follow her night-time routine, and sleep soon after Vamika slept.

Speaking about motherhood, she said Vamika is turning into a secure individual and she feels happy about it. About herself, Anushka said she has become a way more confident person. "Caring for another human and putting the child first in everything is a very real thing. It is so important to have this connection with your child." Anushka describes herself as a hands-on mom who enjoys doing everything for her daughter.

In Chakda Xpress, she will be playing former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film will be released on Netflix in December 2023.
