Bengaluru: Is age a barrier to perform classical dances? 92-year-old Bhanumathi Rao has proved that age is not a barrier for her to perform Bharatanatyam. A video of her performing Bharatanatyam in Bengaluru has now gone viral on the social media.
The video was uploaded on the Facebook by her daughter Maya Krishna Rao. She, in her Facebook post, said Bhanumathi Rao performed the Bharatanatyam a day after celebrating her 92nd birthday on December 5.
What makes the video interesting is the lyricism with which she performs the piece.
The video has garnered over 10, 000 shares on the Facebook. At least 6, 600 people have visited the video on the YouTube.
