129, including Indian embassy employees, land at Delhi from Kabul

As part of the ongoing evacuation process from Afghanistan, an Air India flight with 129 passengers landed in Delhi on Sunday from Kabul. The passengers include diplomats and security officials posted in the Indian Embassy in Kabul. As the Taliban surrounded the capital city on all sides and were on the verge of taking power, the aircraft AI 244 took off at 6:06 pm on Sunday from Kabul.
"We are monitoring the situation and as of now continuing with our scheduled flights to Kabul," an Air India spokesperson said. The next flight For Kabul is scheduled to take off at 8:50 am on Monday.
The situation in Afghan deteriorated rapidly on Sunday. Kabul has reportedly been taken over by the Taliban. President Ashraf Ghani, National Security Adviser Hamdullah Muhib, head of the administrative office of President Fazel Mahmood Fazil, Speaker of Afghan Parliament Mir Rahman Rahmani, and other lawmakers including Younus Qanuni, Muhammad Muhaqeq, Karim Khalili, Ahmad Wali Masoud, and Ahmad Zia Masoud, have left the country. The Taliban has been bringing provinces under control since the US troops pulled out from the country.
A woman who got down at Delhi remarked that the world has abandoned Afghanistan. "Our friends are going to get killed," she added.
