The 26th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) shall be held in Thiruvananthapuram from February 4 to 11, informed Kerala Minister Saji Cherian on Tuesday. The event, organized by state-run Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, shall be held at 12 movie halls in the city.

Though usually held in December, it has been postponed to February 2022 owing to the pandemic. A competition section for the films from Asian, African and Latin American countries is the highlight of the festival. The best feature film would receive the Golden Crow Pheasant Award. It includes a cash prize of Rs 20,00,000 to be shared equally between the Director and Producer. The festival has won great praise for the films that are being screened, within and outside the state.
