Thane: An official on Friday announced that Maharashtra's Thane district, which has witnessed a steady increase in recent cases of covid 19 positive cases, recorded 513 new infections.
With this increase of cases reported on Thursday, the overall number of cases in the district increased to 7,12,579.
The district saw 440 cases on Wednesday, a sharp increase of more than 100 cases from the previous day.
The death toll for the day was unchanged as no new deaths were reported on Thursday, therefore the toll remained unchanged at 11,895, with the district's death rate at 1.67 percent, officials said.
